CISCO ASR 1001 LICENSE PLATE SERIESThe Cisco ASR 1001 Series introduces the concept of the integrated daughter card (IDC) which is a non-field upgradeable component on the ASR 1001 chassis to provide enhanced (I/O) capabilities. What are the key new items introduced with the Cisco ASR 1001 chassis compared to the other ASR 1000 Series routers?Ī. On the ASRs which face such issues, its very much possible that the crypto module has not been installed. You can check this with the help of show command 'show version'. CISCO ASR 1001 LICENSE PLATE SOFTWAREHowever, I believe IPBase doesn't cover BGP: 'A Cisco IOS XE Advanced Enterprise Services technology package license in combination with the Cisco ASR 1001 universal K9 software image facilitates Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol BGP (MBGP), MPLS, and other advanced features on the router.' - source: That should be around 5k more expensive than going with IPBase (MSRP). The ASR1001X-2.5G-K9 bundle already comes with Advanced Enterprise Services (part number for it is SLASR1-AES). ![]() If there's a page that explains this simply, I haven't found it yet. I can find out, it seems, only by submitting my quote to a reseller (which I don't want to do, if possible). I went through Cisco's build and price tool but it won't tell me whether the IP Base license itself costs money or if IP Base is included with a purchase of an ASR1001-X chassis. I'm specifically looking at the ASR1001X-2.5G-K9 base bundle. I think I just need IP Base to get my most basic requirements of QoS DiffServ, OSPF, eBGP, ip sla icmp probes, tracks, & PBR. Where I'm falling flat is trying to spec out a simple but powerful router running IOS XE to meet a customer's requirements, but I'm finding the ASR line is quite different to work with than what I'm used to which is mainly legacy used market IOS platforms. I'm mostly experienced with plain old IOS 12 & 15 software and am most familiar with those licensing schemes. I need some clue from some licensing gurus.
